the phone will be kept open until the end of the first hymn. If no one
has joined by then, we will hang up.
The First Church of Christ Scientist, Sonora, CA is one of
the many world wide branches of the Mother Church, the First
Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. As
dedicated students of the Bible and of the Christian Science
textbook, Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the members of our church
commit themselves each day to following the words and works
of our Master, Christ Jesus, and to demonstrating the
Scientific principles which he taught and demonstrated.

Who is Mary Baker Eddy?
In 1866, Mary Baker Eddy was instantly cured of the
effects of an accident while reading one of Jesus' healings
from the Bible. She realized that healing was the operation
of God's law in our human experience. This formed the basis
for her discovering Christian Science and founding the Church
of Christ, Scientist.

Our services are based on readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School meets on Sunday at the same time as church. Young people up to the age of 20 learn to put spiritual truths into practice.
Children's Room
A room for child care is provided for those too young to attend our services.
Wednesday
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Testimonial Meeting
The Wednesday meeting is also based on readings from the Bible and Science and Health, and includes time for testimonies of healings in Christian Science.
