Our Pastor - Lesson/Sermons

The Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers. The Bible Lesson/Sermons consist of readings of selected passages from the King James Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. There are 26 Bible Lesson subjects and each subject is used twice each year. The lesson topics and reading selections are published in the Christian Science Quarterly and are used by all branch churches and students of Christian Science around the world. Each weekly lesson is studied throughout the week preceding the Sunday service where the selections are read from the books by lay church "Readers." The "First Reader" conducts the service and reads the selections from "Science and Health" and the "Second Reader" reads the selections from the Bible. The spiritual truths in these Lessons have brought comfort, guidance, support, and healing to readers for more than one hundred years and continue to do so today.
